This premium single-vineyard estate field blend comes from our home ranch in the western hills of Healdsburg. We pick our 5-acres of Zinfandel and 1-acre of Petite Sirah together and co-ferment them together. The grapes were picked at the crack of dawn, then destemmed and cold soaked before fermentation for 5 days. Only free run wine was gently transferred to a mix of French and American Oak barrels for 16 months of aging. Aromas of blackberries and baklava fill the room when the bottle is opened. The entry reminds of fresh bing cherries and pomegranates, while the rich, silky tannins support the finish of strawberries and cocoa.

Tasting notes
Nostalgic aromas of blackberry pie and cherry soda rise out of the glass on the initial pouring. Layers of mocha, licorice and cedar release as the wine is swirled. Bright cranberry and pomegranate awakens the pallet on the entry. The slightly sandy texture tastes as if someone sprinkled cocoa powder in your mouth. The finish is powerful and concentrated, yet balanced by the acidity and fruitfulness of the wine. The structure will allow this wine to continue to evolve in the bottle for the next 15 years.Winemaker Brandon Lapides
